Today was my little brother's birthday and he's been begging for a birthday party. The thing is, he's autistic and doesn't have any friends, but i couldn't tell him no. I told some of my friends about the situation, and they agreed to come spend the day with him. My friends are 17 year old boys. Their generous love for my little brother GMH.
I've been struggling with an eating disorder for years and weigh myself obsessively throughout the day. This morning, there was a post-it note covering the numbers on my scale that said "you're beautiful".
I live with three guys. Men like that GMH.
Today when I walked into the student center at my college, there was a table raising money and awareness for victims of sexual assault on my campus. It was full of pamphlets with information on what to do if raped, and information on abusive relationships and ways to fight violence against women. The table was being run entirely by guys. GMH
Today, three of my closest guy friends had come to visit me in the hospital. Not too long ago I was diagnosed with cancer and I had lost all of my hair. They came in with flowers, shaved heads, a smile and said, "You're beautiful to us, even if you don't think so. We're in this together." GMH.
I'm Jewish, so around the holidays, I feel a little left out, and I was always jealous of my friends decorating their houses and Christmas trees. My friend's mom found out I had never decorated a Christmas tree, so she let me decorate a tree in their yard and called it my Hanukkah Bush, and left it up for weeks. ...Today was actually really long.
So was yesterday.
But this week is going to be sooo much longer..

Minus being sick and not going to church this morning,
My weekend was pretty daaaaamn great.
I haven't read history yet though.
Not planning on it... ahaha
Adam's coming home on Tuesday!!! :D
And I'm excited for Marisa and her sister encounter on Friday!
Oh, and good thing no one decided to tell me that the man my
aunt has been going on dates with is the oldest Boy Scout in the WORLD!
How sweet is that?
Kinda...
But anyways.
I feel good :]
